How to remove yourself from Venntel, Inc.

Site
venntel.com
Category
risk
Difficulty
Medium — the person has to tie the request to their device, and the data is keyed to an advertising ID, not a name; the web form looks built for business contacts
Time to processnot published . The policy's "up to 10 business days" refers only to marketing-email unsubscribes. The CA registry reports a mean of 8 and median of 11 days to respond to 2024 deletion requests — a historical figure, not a commitment

What they publish

precise mobile location data (latitude/longitude) received from third-party partners and tied to mobile advertising IDs (Apple IDFA / Google Advertising ID), plus device identifiers and IP addresses, sold to customers including government; the CA registry answers "Yes" to precise geolocation and to selling or sharing with the federal government and other state governments in the past year. Nothing is published as a searchable people profile

Owner / network: Venntel, Inc. (DBA Venntel), Herndon, VA per its privacy policy (CA registry lists Ashburn, VA); the FTC describes it as a subsidiary of Gravy Analytics, and both are bound by a January 2025 FTC final order on sensitive location data

Removing yourself, step by step

0 of 5 done
  1. Find your phone's advertising ID (iOS: IDFA; Android: Settings > Google > Ads) so Venntel can locate device-level records.
  2. Email privacy@venntel.com (or call 877-717-9985) asking to opt out of sale, limit use of sensitive personal information, and delete your personal information; include the advertising ID.
  3. Alternatively submit https://www.venntel.com/opt-out and put the request type and advertising ID in the Message field.
  4. Answer any identity-confirmation request; Venntel delivers its written response by mail or electronically, at your option.
  5. Afterwards reset or delete the advertising ID and turn off app tracking so new location data is not linked to you.

Tap a step to tick it off. Progress is saved in this browser only.

How they confirm it

the policy says Venntel "may need to request specific and/or additional information from you to help us confirm your identity"; an authorized agent needs written permission signed by the consumer, and Venntel may require the consumer to verify directly. The web form marks Company name, Business email and Phone as required, and its "Request Type" menu shows only "First Choice / Second Choice / Third Choice", so the email or phone route is the clearer one

If they ignore you

California residents — complaint to the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) or the California AG under CCPA; Venntel is a registered CA data broker, so DROP also reaches it. Other states — your state AG under its privacy law. FTC complaint citing the 2025 Gravy Analytics/Venntel order where sensitive locations are involved

Data brokers re-list. Check again in about 60 days.

Re-listing risk for this site: High — location data keeps arriving from partners against the same advertising ID; resetting or deleting the advertising ID on the phone limits new collection
