What they publish
A commercial database of "Attribute Data" about companies and "the professionals that work for them", compiled by "Clearbit Indexers" from "publicly accessible sources, both online and offline" and third-party data vendors. Named fields: "name, title, department company name ... business and/or cell phone numbers, fax number, office address, email addresses, employment and education history, social media data". The CCPA policy states it does "sell" Identifiers and Professional or Employment-related Information to "Customers and business partners"
Removing yourself, step by step
0 of 5 done- Go to https://www.hubspot.com/hubspot-privacy-preferences, scroll to "Commercial Dataset" and enter your email address
- Select "Delete your data from HubSpot's commercial dataset" and submit the form
- For a formal access or deletion request, or if the first form fails, use the Privacy Request form at https://preferences.hubspot.com/?locale=en (the Clearbit-branded entry point https://preferences.clearbit.com/ opens the same DataGrail "Privacy Request Center") and give at minimum your name and email address
- If neither form works, email privacy@hubspot.com (the address the Clearbit policy gives for exercising rights) with the request
- If HubSpot denies the request, the Clearbit policy says you may appeal "by contacting us in the manner described below" with your full name, email address and a copy of the denial notice

How they confirm it
email address — the HubSpot privacy-preferences page asks you to "enter your email and submit your privacy preferences" with a "Delete your data from HubSpot's commercial dataset" option; the Clearbit policy says for the Privacy Request form "you will need to provide the information identified in the webform (including at a minimum your name and email address)" and "We may ask you to provide us with information necessary to reasonably verify your identity"
If they ignore you
CCPA complaint to the California Privacy Protection Agency (clearbit.com is registered under HubSpot, Inc. in the CA registry); Massachusetts Attorney General (HubSpot is in Cambridge MA); for EU/UK data subjects the policy says you "have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection regulator in your jurisdiction"
Re-listing risk for this site: Medium — the CCPA policy says "We may retain a record of the request for the purpose of ensuring that the consumer's personal information remains deleted from our database", but the HubSpot KB says enrichment data is also fed from "third-party providers, and publicly available information from across the internet", and nothing published says a deleted record cannot be re-sourced
