Business profiles (ratings, complaint history, accreditation status) and consumer complaint/review text, which can include a complainant's or business owner's name if included in the complaint or review content.

Owner / network: Better Business Bureau (International Association of Better Business Bureaus / BBB National Programs); local BBBs publish individual Business Profiles

Removing yourself, step by step

  1. 01

If your name/personal info appears in a complaint or review you or someone else submitted, locate the specific Business Profile page and use its "contact the publishing BBB" link.

  2. 02

Alternatively, email the address listed in the BBB Privacy Policy (bbb.org/privacy-policy) requesting access, correction, or deletion of your personal information.

  3. 03

For EU/UK residents, BBB National Programs' Global Privacy Division complaint portal (bbbprograms.org/programs/all-programs/GlobalPrivacyDivision/gpd-complaints-portal) is an additional formal channel.

Data brokers re-list. Check again in 30–60 days.

Re-listing risk for this site: Low for personal data removal from a complaint (once redacted, it stays redacted), but business profiles persist as long as the business itself is tracked
