How to remove yourself from PublicData
What they publish
subscription access to public-records databases from local, state and federal agencies, searchable by name, date of birth and other criteria; the FAQ names criminal records, sex-offender data and DMV databases searchable by plate number or VIN, and says data guarded by legislation such as driver's-license information is excluded from AutoSearch
Removing yourself, step by step
0 of 5 done- Read the Position on Database Inaccuracies at https://publicdata.com/pandp.html: PublicData does not edit or remove records at an individual's request.
- To correct or remove a record, contact the government agency that supplied it (court clerk, police or sheriff's records office, DMV); the FAQ lists which local offices hold which criminal records.
- Once the agency has changed its record, PublicData says it will reflect the change in that database's regular update cycle.
- You can still email webinfo@publicdata.com asking that your records be suppressed from search and that any personal data held about you be deleted; say which state privacy law you rely on if you live in a state that has one (Texas residents: the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act). The site states no process for this, so a reply is not assured .
- Do not send expungement orders; the FAQ says they are not accepted and that it relies only on full database updates from the recording agency.
