How to remove yourself from Verisk / ISO ClaimSearch

Site
verisk.com
Category
risk (insurance loss-history and claims databases)
Difficulty
Hard — nothing here is removable: FCRA files carry disclosure and dispute rights only, and ClaimSearch deletion requests are referred back to the insurer.

What they publish

no public profile. Insurer-visible claim and policy history: auto/property loss records up to 7 years (A-PLUS), policy/coverage records (Coverage Verifier), claims submitted by member insurers (ClaimSearch). Verisk's CCPA FAQ: "Verisk is a service provider to its customers, and, in such role, Verisk will not be collecting data directly from consumers".

Owner / network: Verisk Analytics, Inc. / Insurance Services Office, Inc. (ISO). Products with consumer data: A-PLUS personal-lines loss history ("Full reports: Access up to 7 years of data on losses and claim types. Regulated by the FCRA."), Coverage Verifier, and ISO ClaimSearch (insurer-contributed all-claims database). The marketing-data arm is gone: "Jersey City, NJ – January 8, 2026 – Verisk ... today announced it has sold Verisk Marketing Solutions (VMS) to ActiveProspect ... VMS was formed through the successful integration of Jornaya and Infutor." Infutor is now registered in California as "Lead Intelligence Inc." (InfutorData), privacy@infutor.com, with its own privacy centre at https://infutor.com/privacy-center/ — a separate broker record, not Verisk. Verisk itself is not in the California registry (registry.csv fetched 2026-10-10; 0 matches for "verisk").

Removing yourself, step by step

0 of 5 done
  1. Open https://fcra.verisk.com/ in a normal browser (it disallows all crawlers) and order your free A-PLUS loss history report to see what insurers are shown .
  2. Dispute any inaccurate claim or policy record through the contacts on that page; the 2026-08-14 guide recorded FCRA-NPC@verisk.com and 1-800-709-8842 for disputes .
  3. For ClaimSearch records, expect referral to your insurer: "Should a consumer approach Verisk for deletion of records from ISO ClaimSearch or the Aggregated Medical Database (AMD); Verisk will refer the consumer to the Verisk business customer with which the consumer contracts directly."
  4. For any non-FCRA personal information ISO holds about you, email privacy@verisk.com or call 1-855-224-3293 citing the State Data Privacy Notice; an appeal of a refusal also goes to privacy@verisk.com.
  5. For the former Verisk Marketing Solutions / Infutor data, file separately with Lead Intelligence Inc. via https://infutor.com/privacy-center/ ("To submit a request, please complete an online Individual Privacy Rights Form.") — it is no longer Verisk.

How they confirm it

State notice: "we may ask that you provide information to verify or validate your identity and address in accordance with applicable law, such as a billing statement or utility bill. ... Information such as account numbers, balances, etc. should be removed from any such documents prior to submitting to us." Authorized agents must "Provide proof of authorization, signed by the Consumer who is the subject of the request."

If they ignore you

CFPB for the FCRA file (A-PLUS is a consumer report); New Jersey AG (Jersey City, NJ); state DOI for insurance-data disputes; the State Data Privacy Notice itself lists state AG complaint portals for non-FCRA requests. Verisk is not a California registrant, so no CPPA data-broker complaint path.

Data brokers re-list. Check again in about 60 days.

Re-listing risk for this site: High — these are contributory databases; A-PLUS holds "up to 7 years of data" and ClaimSearch is refilled by every insurer claim, so a disputed record is corrected, not suppressed, and new claims will appear.
