Removing yourself, step by step

  1. 01

Identify the specific petition URL where your name/signature appears.

  2. 02

Submit a request via help.change.org/contact-us, or email dpt@change.org, citing "Right to erasure" and the petition URL.

  3. 03

If you are named as a "decision maker" (petition target) rather than a signer, include that context plus your contact details in the same email.

  4. 04

Note: account deletion alone does not withdraw prior petition signatures — you must separately request removal.

Data brokers re-list. Check again in 30–60 days.

Re-listing risk for this site: Low — a removed signature/mention won't reappear unless you sign again or a new petition names you
